MPEG1 Video Files- A Key Technology
The MPEG1 video format enables a quality sound and video image playback from a CD-ROM. Playing at a full 30 frames per second, it provides smooth motion. It's compact files size allows almost an hour of high quality video and audio to fit on a single CD-ROM. Unfortunately MPEG1 requires a special player.

Last Fall, Microsoft released the Windows Media Player, a free accessory program that enables any Windows 95/98/NT computer to play MPEG1 video files. Apple Macintosh computers can also play these files, thanks to the Apple QuickTime 3.0 and 4.0 players.

Finally, a new wave of technology has enabled real time conversion of video programs to MPEG1. The reduced costs of conversion and replication, combined with low mailing cost, presents a great marketing opportunity. New business card size CD-ROMs and other small form factors command attention and guarantee your message will be seen.

New Horizons
CD-ROMs offer additional opportunities not found with VHS video. We have had great success with a new concept we call "Web Site on a Disk." We adapt your Web page material, adding interactive PowerPoint presentations, manuals and catalogs in Adobe Acrobat format, etc. We replace low-resolution graphics and Web video with high resolution graphics and high quality MPEG1 video, then burn the package to CD for direct distribution. Your "Web Site on a Disk" can include hot links so clients who are connected to the Web can seamlessly go to your actual Web site for up-to-the-minute pricing, news releases, etc.

Distributing your content on CD provides a high quality, instant access experience not possible on the Web itself due to bandwidth restrictions. Installation files for up-to date browsers, plug-ins, readers, and viewers can be included on the CD so clients can easily update their systems if needed. Go to our Internet Video Page to learn more about this exciting technology.
